November 2014, Africa Update #1
Molo from South Africa!
SOUTH AFRICA SO FAR
I (Angela) have arrived with the DTS Outreach Team safe and sound in South Africa. We are already jumping in, meeting key people and "trying" to learn Xhosa. Clearly, I will not be one of the 7.5 million people who speak this language. Any language using your voice and clicking your tongue simultaneously in near impossible for me. However, a couple of the girls on the team are doing really well with it and I'm a little jealous.

THE FIRST 48hrs WERE AN EPIC ROLLER COASTER which included reunions with friends in the Township of Masiphumelele, a car breakdown (and repair), the most culturally epic 7th grade graduation I have ever seen, a few bank mishaps, and being caught in a rain storm. All that to say, its been AMAZING! Outreach is always an adventure.

Besides getting settled in and starting in on Ministry, we are looking forward to Luke and the kids joining us as we set up the outreach for the family. Since our last visit in Spring 2012, we have waited for our return as a WHOLE family and we're now at the last push to see this happen! Woo hoo! Please be praying (details below)!

We have been graciously hosted by Justice Doll and Ithemba Woods ministries. We love that already the bond, friendship and partnership between them and Ember Ink are deepening. There is already excitement stirring of what will happen over our time here.We will keep you posted of our time here in Africa! :)

As I write here jet-lagged at 3am in Africa, I'm so grateful to God that we do what we do! We are thankful that He has brought you into our lives onto our team... and we want to thank YOU for your continued support of our family in Missions. Together, we are seeing people and nations transformed! Thank you for the part you play in friendship, prayer and financial contribution.

The kids are excited to be heading to South Africa! We're praying that the last bit comes in for them!

Urgent Needs
WHY THE WHOLE FAMILY?
One of our convictions, from the very beginning, has been that its not just the two of us in missions... but our WHOLE FAMILY! Obviously, this has looked different in various seasons of life and in the different capacities due to the ages of the children. However, the last few years, we have been more intentional with our kids as they respond to Jesus, each in their own way. We have been digging more into the Bible, prayer, and some service. We have been coaching our children as they journey alongside us in our family's call. They've had opportunities to walk with us in serving our neighborhood, giving food/drink to homeless and in
praying for others... this has been a natural equipping of living a "missional" life. Through this, it has made us incredibly excited for the opportunity for them to serve alongside us in an overseas setting.

We're so close... we have already raised over $8,000 to get the whole family over to South Africa. It really is SO CLOSE. We have $4,500 more to go. The plan is for the Luke and the kids to leave on Wednesday. We've been praying, asking and then some more praying. We believe its right... we've seen many provisions in the "eleventh hour".... so we're asking you to PRAY with us.

We know God is pretty BIG and He does some pretty amazing things. So, right now, we want to stir your faith into action by standing in prayer with us. We need a team covering! The more prayer, the better! So be praying for a breakthrough as we break more ground for Jesus as a family!

With much love and appreciation,
      Angela
