If you're looking for something to do on Saturday, June 7, Pitt Meadows Day offers loads of fun. Take a look at the program on the City's website. The parade, the highlight of the day, starts at 11 am.
Of course, cycling is the best way to get to Pitt Meadows Day. No worries about finding a parking spot! The Pitt Meadows' Active Transportation Advisory Committee is offering free guarded bicycle parking from noon until 5:00 pm.
By using this free bike lock-up, you'll have a pretty good chance of winning a free bike tune-up! Rob Laluk, the owner of the new bike shop in Pitt Meadows, Pitt Meadows Cycle, is offering 5 free bike tune-ups for a draw. According to my calculations, your chances of winning should be about 1 in 6. So bring the whole family out on their bikes!
I'm planning to go myself, probably late morning. So if you want to ride together from Memorial Peace Park along the 117th Ave. bike route (and try out the Lougheed multi-use path!), let me know!
