It's only February, and there's already been lots of excitement in 2017!

As many of you know, I'm continuing my work with The Autoimmune Registry. We are now an official 501(c)(3) certified nonprofit organization and we are continuing to solicit donations, volunteers, board members, and survey participants to sign up for our registry. I've begun writing Disease Spotlight posts for them and continue to work on growing the social media presence for this great organization. Please consider donating or joining the registry, today.

In case you missed it, Mike and I were also featured together on the Manhattan Neighborhood Network TV show, Celebrity Catwalk in late December and early January. You can view it, here.

I'm also still working closely with WearWoof and am looking forward to their upcoming Little Black Dress Fundraiser Party! We have already raised $66,352 for animal shelters with your help, and I couldn't be more proud to be on their Board of Directors.

I'm still a member of the Robinson Lions Club and recently found out that the LION Magazine, (published worldwide by the Lions Clubs International) is likely doing a "One Of Us" feature about me this spring (likely in the May issue,) so I'm very excited about that! In early February, I also joined the Patients Council/50 States Network for patient advocates.

The past week has also been a whirlwind: the United Nations tweeted out one of my articles, I spoke to middle schoolers at New Brighton Area Middle School, I did a podcast episode with the MASSolutions No B.S. Marketing Podcast, Prevention Magazine quoted me in an article, AND the Huffington Post picked up one of my articles.

Additionally, I have recently written some unique new Arthritis Ashley blog posts -- two of which I relate back to Lady Gaga and Beyonce -- how fun is that? There are a couple of Arthritis Ashley giveaways going on, too.

Currently, I'm working on some "outside the box" new projects including a new book project and more. I will, of course, keep you all posted with details to come.  For now, please check out some of the links in this email.

... Oh, and be sure to check out Mike's new Instagram page: yes, he manages his IG account himself. Give him a follow!

Don't forget: my 3 books (Sick Idiot, Chronically Positive, and To Exist,) are available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Walmart.com, Books-a-Million, and more. You may also order directly from me.

I hope that 2017 is treating you all well, and as Valentine's Day approaches, let's all remember to keep love in our hearts towards all who cross our paths.

Thank you all for your support, now and always. Happy Valentine's Day!

Best,

Ashley

The United Nations
Last week, the UN Women Twitter account tweeted out my Healthline article on gender bias in healthcare. Huffington Post then picked up the story and ran it, here.

Spreading Positivity
I had the honor of speaking to over one hundred 7th graders about "not judging a book by its cover." I spoke a lot about social media, invisible illness, and more. Read or watch it, here

Recently, Prevention Magazine interviewed me about how to manage rheumatoid arthritis through nutritional approaches. I'm quoted a few times in the final article, here.
