SOFA Chicago, New Gallery
Jane Sauer Gallery will be representing my work at SOFA Chicago this fall. SOFA is where leading international galleries show the best of 'Sculpture, Objects, Functional Art + Design'.  If you plan to be at SOFA Chicago this year please stop by the gallery's booth to see my work in person and say hello.

In addition to showing with Jane Sauer Gallery at SOFA, my work will be at their Santa Fe gallery in the Canyon Road arts district.  With new owners (and experienced art professionals) Jen and Mike Tansey taking the reins this summer, the gallery will continue to be a leader as a destination for collectors of carefully-curated contemporary multimedia art.

Featured in the San Francisco Chronicle Magazine

I was featured in a San Francisco Chronicle Magazine article about artists who got their start at Bay Area art nonprofits.  Aside from me, the article features a sculptor from The Crucible and a lighting designer who developed his line at Techshop.  The bonus (aside from from great publicity), was a visit to the beehives the writer keeps on the roof of the Chronicle.  I've always been fascinated by bee keeping, so helping with maintenance on a hive of ~50,000 bees was good fun.  A feature story and honey--so sweet.  You can read the story here (where my section begins).

Union University Show on WBBJ TV
My show, Details at Union University made the local TV news.

Don't Miss: The Detailers: David Patchen

If you haven't seen this video, you should definitely check it out.  This summer I was featured in a series of documentaries by Olivari Olive Oil that, in their words "profile unique folks who obsess over their craft and believe in carrying on a tradition of detail and care."  The resulting video is actually one of the best I've seen in capturing the magic of glassblowing.

Current Show Schedule:

  • Kuivato Gallery - Sedona, AZ; featured artist through Sept 31st
