  • Joining a home group is a brilliant chance to meet and pray with others, build relationships, support one another, exchange views and explore God's word together. Take a look at the groups and sign up here or contact the office.

  • Access to the Old Vicarage is only when absolutely necessary. Please contact the office, 01634 570489, vicarspa@stmarksgillingham.orgif you need to make an appointment and do not drop by without prior arrangement. On Tues and Thurs the answerphone and email will be checked for emergencies only. Messages and e-mails will be dealt with during office hours.

PLEASE PRAY FOR

THE WORLD:

  • The people of Afghanistan, that the Taliban leaders seek to govern justly for all peoples and be willing to work to accepted norms with the international community; for good intentions to be fulfilled in righteous actions; for comfort to those grieving loss; that people and families are protected and kept together; for healing in mind and body and medical aid to be available to all in need.  Lord, have mercy.

  • For Refugees, now in other locations including the UK, that they are supported in their new beginnings.

  • The people of New Orleans and surrounding areas, from Hurricane Ida – for residents to be kept safe or reach safety, for recovery for all affected; and may the hospital that lost its roof be able to continue caring.

  • For the Paralympics in Japan and all the athletes and support teams – may it continue to be a wonderful time for them in competition, and a great event for all watching.

MEDWAY

  • For the children starting school, those returning and perhaps moving schools, for those moving into further education, training or University, and for those entering the workplace – for fear and anxiety to flee away, that excitement and hope prevail.  And may the Lord guide them, bless them and be alongside them.
  •
  • For Lynne Martin as she prepares for the new University intake and seeks to reach as many as possible with information for help and support, and in the building of good relationships this academic year.

  • For those who become involved in vandalism, that they have people around them who help them think through their actions and who care enough to guide them to more productive behaviours.

  • For communities and neighbours to consider their surroundings, appreciating the good things and caring for their local area. Give thanks for the Little Eden project and all those projects impacting communities.

GOD'S CHURCH:

  • That the Word of God continues unhindered and may reach into the impossible places, situations and lives; those suffering oppression and opposition be upheld in their faith; that God gives wisdom to church leaderships in their planning for re-opening after the Summer, particularly those of CTIM.  May God bless the plans, arrangements and staffing of all the different services, groups, activities, fellowship and prayer, in praise of His Holy Name.
If you would like to be added to the Prayer & Praise email list to receive weekly praise reports and prayer requests from our church family please contact Kath Burtrand: kathyb.nana@yahoo.co.uk
