Hello Fellow BBS Members. I hope your summer is off to a great start. June and July are relatively quiet months for FCF, however, we have a few updates to report. We were approved by the DOD in May to commence with moving forward with the Chapel Kitchen renovations. This project has been waiting for approval for about a year and we hope to have it completed by Thanksgiving time. This will be a beneficial project for the entire base as they served 24,000 meals for the community in 2021 using a very outdated and underutilized kitchen. We are very excited to be able to support this project as it impacts such a broad group. Year to date 2022, we have supported dozens of events or projects on Luke AFB and we anticipate adding dozens more by year end. Some of the most popular ones being our marriage retreats and single parent and single airmen events. It has been announced that the Change of Command Ceremony will occur in late July where Brigadier General Gregory Kreuder will relinquish command to Brigadier General Jason M. Rueschhoff. We are so appreciative of the support that Brigadier General Gregory Kreuder has provided to FCF and the engagement that he was allowed for our BBS and we look forward to building another strong relationship with Brigadier General Jason M. Rueschhoff for the next two years! Keep your eyes open for some direct emails from your class leaders and from Brooke in case there are any opportunities to attend unplanned/popup events in July. I hope you all enjoy and celebrate Independence Day with friends and family to enjoy the freedoms we are blessed to have in this country! Cheers and stay cool.
