Dear Neuro Challenge Family and Friends,
As our local communities recover from Hurricane Ian, we wanted to connect with you. This was a devastating storm, changing some parts of Florida forever. Thankfully, all the Neuro Challenge Staff, Board and offices are safe. But many of our community members suffered great losses. We want you to know we are here for you during this difficult time.
We made the decision to suspend programs this week to allow our community time to recover from the storm. In lieu of programs, our Care Advisors are doing well-checks by phone on our Parkinson’s community to assess their needs and to connect them to necessary resources.
The lesson we learned through the pandemic was that isolation and inactivity can exacerbate the disease. So while we are closed this week, we are happy to resume all our programs next week so you can remain active and socially connected. We hope you are able to join us at our programs next week, including our Distinguished Speakers Series in Manatee County on October 15th. More details here.
In the meantime, we are here for you. Our community is rallying to ensure our most vulnerable citizens have needed support. Check out the resources below for more information, or call a Neuro Challenge Care Advisor today at 941-926-6413. Visit NeuroChallenge.org to view our program calendar.
Take Care,
Brad Bryan, Board Chair
