IntrepidArts: July in Memphis
Everything has changed - and keeps changing - here's what is current as of today
Savannah White Show Re-Scheduled
Savannah Jewell White's Yearning Horizons has been re-scheduled -- again -- and this time it is going to happen. The pop up at The Medicine Factory, 85 Virginia Ave. W., has a longer run and therefore allows for multiple opportunities to visit. The show opens Friday, July 24, from 5-8 pm with viewing the next day from 10 am to 2 pm. Additional viewing opportunities are by appointment through August 1.

Entitled Yearning Horizons the show reflects an overwhelming passion of the artist: travel.  Amsterdam, Cape Town, Bangkok, Milan, Granada, Osaka, Dublin, Singapore, London, Barcelona, Mt. Fuji, Paris.  From Brazil to Croatia, the travel bug is not simply adventure for White but inspiration. Her intellectual curiosity and cultural inhaling takes shape and is expressed in her paintings, some more abstract, some more representational, all breathing a spirit of irrepressible wonder in fluid color and motion.

Self-taught as a painter, White’s forays into fashion and experience with photography help shape her ability to capture expression.  Now in her third show in two years and her first solo show in a large space, she stretches  effortlessly with the works.

Social distancing will be practiced, no more than 25 guests in the gallery at any one time. Hand sanitizer will be available. BYOM - bring your own mask.
