Let Grassroots Grow

YEE is currently in full preparation of our project “Let Grassroots Grow”, which consists of an international seminar, webinars, a training course, local actions and an evaluation meeting. We want to build the expertise of youth organisations to support bottom-up youth-led environmental projects.

YEE’s Gender Working Group

At the end of this month, we kicked off with our new YEE Gender Working Group. In the following months, participants will be exploring the links between gender and environment, exchange best practices and create new materials and/or activities on the topic. Follow the link so you can read about the aim and activities of the group.

Active Youth-Better Environment

We are very happy to share with you our new booklet which is created as a follow up of the long term project Active Youth - Better Environment. With this publication we want to encourage young people to participate in environmental decision-making processes and help youth organisations to create more inclusive decision making structures for young people. Now you can download the booklet by following the link below.

EDEN center’s project: What do you think – incinerating waste or not?

Our member organisation EDEN center has been active in a project which involves the construction of a waste incinerator in Tirana, the capital of Albania. Waste is one of the major environmental problems in Albania and immediate action is needed. The question is, however, if the building of the third Albanian incinerator will really lead to an improvement in solving the Albanian waste-problem...

Yeghvard NGO's project: We save for the sake of our green and bright future

For the past three months, our Armenian Member Organisation Yegvard is realizing a project to raise awareness of the local authorities and young people on energy saving. They organised seminars and local actions in five cities of the Kotayk region. The project aims to bring attention to the positive effects of energy efficiency in the local communities. Watch the beautiful movie they made to promote energy-saving practices below.

NATUUR 2000's bat project:
Fort Oelegem to hold bat record in Flanders

The Fort Oelegem working group of Natuur 2000 started its annual bat counts in January 1985. This year the project celebrates its 35th anniversary and their yearly bat count revealed Fort Oelegem fortress staying the most important bat hibernation site in Flanders - almost 1500 of these amazing creatures were counted at the site.
