Gunter "Gunny"

amazing, sweet, silly, lovable, clown boy

A three-year old English Pointer, Gunter was kept chained under a table, in a hole from 8 weeks to 2 years old.

This boy is nearly perfect - loves dogs and people - house and crate trained - knows basic commands and walks great on a leash - even knows a few tricks (like spinning the lid off the food bin) to let you know it's dinner time (or not!)!

Gunter has captured the hearts of volunteers and strangers.

Thanks to the efforts of our generous supporters, dedicated volunteers, committed foster, Dr. Perkins, Dr. Rickords/staff at Rickords Animal Hospital, AND Gunter's fan club - Gunter had two surgeries on his right hip, and has been undergoing intensive physical therapy with L.J. Batson at PetsWest Rehabilitation.

TSBR learned last week that Gunter needs another surgery to relieve pain caused by a bone spur, before he can continue his therapy.

Please help Gunter walk pain free, so he can continue physical therapy and build strength in his right hip; he still needs surgery on his left hip, and this is not possible without a "leg to stand on."

TSBR is committed to doing everything reasonable to help Gunter keep from having his rear legs amputated.
