Midnight Run THIS Sunday (help still needed), Sunday's services, Blessing of the Animals is October 3, and more...
Help Needed for This Sunday's Run! Sign up below. Anyone can click here to directly donate items whether or not you can attend on the 26th (though we need people to do the runs, too). Midnight Run is a ministry to the homeless in New York City. A typical "run" happens on Sunday morning before Church, leaving around 7:30 am and returning by 10:30/11:00 am. Volunteers prepare food and basic necessities, and drive in teams down to a designated location on the Lower East or Upper West side. Families are welcome to participate in this ministry, as with all our food ministries. If you can make this upcoming run, please contact Cheryl Smith asap, the coordinator, whose email is included in the link above. Thank you! Next Run: October 24
SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES
THE 9 AM SERVICE
is a 30-minute outdoor service, good for kids and family, open to all. THE 10:30 AM SERVICE
is a 45-minute "traditional" service with organ and choir (masked & distanced). Please remember to wear a mask throughout the service.
SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE
The 5 pm service is a quiet, non-Eucharistic service and a great way to end (and start) the week. It lasts 25-30 minutes, includes silence, "centering prayer" along with prayers both familiar and new, and a chance to reflect quietly to yourselves (or if you wish, aloud) on the Gospel reading for the day. Appropriate for all ages. Eucharist will be available following for those who wish. Try it for something different. You can even go *in addition to* the morning services if you wish. Service will be indoors, distanced and masked. This Sunday's will be led by Deacon Susie.
Coffee Hours Under the Tent Thank you to Liza Brady and Margy Loftus for getting our celebrated coffee hours back up and running! This Sunday we'll continue, and look next week for a digital sign-up with instructions for how to host a coffee hour safely.

Did you know that the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti is connected to the Episcopal Diocese of NY? We're even in the same Ecclesiastical Province.

Join us for our Wednesday In-Person Service and Bible Study Our weekday 9:30 am service of Holy Eucharist resumed last weekend--after eighteen months! On nice days, we'll have the service outdoors. The service is followed by in-person Bible study (starting at 10). The service will be live streamed on our YouTube channel, as well. Please remember to wear masks when indoors.
New Features on the St. James App, like Direct Sign-ups Our phone app now allows you to sign up for a group, from one of our food ministries to our Sunday Bible reading group, without having to go through the office or a staff member. You just click on the group you want to join, and you'll immediately start receiving communications about that group. You can also update your profile, add your picture (from the app itself), and check your giving record. Download the app by taking a picture of the QR code. It helps us a lot!
