We are stoked to share what’s been cooking at OXI HQ, hang onto you patch cables and let’s dive in:

ARRANGER MODE

We have polished our take on the Arranger mode so you can get maximum flexibility. There are 4 lanes for arranging your patterns, one per Sequencer. Each pattern added to the arranger can be modified to play the desired repetitions, up until infinity!

But, what happens when a pattern in looping forever? Am I also stuck in there? Of course not.

We have added Clip Launch to manually jump to different sections of your Songs at the end of the current pattern.

Yes, Songs with capital S is not a typo. You can save your Arrangements into Songs that are saved per Project to quickly recall your favorite Arrangements. As you can see on the screen above, there’s a really useful progress view for the current pattern being played, with countdown for repeats.

Ah! Let’s not forget about Program Changes. Patterns in Arranger also carry MIDI Program Change messages to automate changes of patches, instruments or presets on the instruments that supports them.

BLUETOOTH CENTRAL CONNECTIVITY

Cables no more, unless it’s modular (L)

Well, we think Bluetooth is highly underrated on studio use. While audio streaming needs high bandwidth and may face latency issues, with MIDI streaming is the opposite. We have measured very low latency and dead steady clock on far from ideal scenarios.

We do want to empower the MIDI BLE ecosystem.

What does “central” exactly means?

Central means that OXI One becomes a hub for all you MIDI Bluetooth needs. You can throw in any MIDI Bluetooth keyboards, controllers and sensors to control and record directly on OXI One.

It also can act as peripheral Bluetooth device to connect to DAWs, mobile or desktop apps and the other way around. To release affordable Bluetooth enabled controllers and wearables is on our sight.
