Quarryland Quickie - News for QMC Members
Season 15, Celebrate!, our Ruby Anniversary
A positive performance-based community for gay/bisexual men/transmen and their allies in South Central Indiana. We foster talent, fellowship, pride, and understanding through excellence in vocal music. Founded in 2002.
Rehearsal tonight - come celebrate the diversity of MLK Day with your QMC family, 7:30-9:30. (We are doing some more auditions 6:45-7:30 - so if you know someone who missed auditioning last week, bring them along.)
See the ad below if you'd like to participate in the Cabaret and Cabernet on March 2nd. We have very few acts who have emailed their information about what they would like to perform. Now is the time! If you told Robert something in person, you should drop an email with the details. If you would like to perform or volunteer let Robert know right away.
Doug McKinney and Peter Burkholder (QMC alums) organize the monthly Bloomington Gay Men's Fellowship. If you'd like to be placed on their mailing list contact Doug McKinney <firstname.lastname@example.org>.
There is a speakeasy-style party for gay men, their friends, allies, and other aesthetes (no cover, no requests) organized by Aaron Tilford at the Root Cellar (basement of FARM on Kirkwood Ave by BLU Boy and Buskirk-Chumley Theater) called Monsieur. Every week on Sunday, 8pm-Midnight.
Past rehearsal notes, upcoming rehearsal prep, performance information (attire, call-time, performance order), rehearsal reminders. Link to musetta.
Most recent note from Barry:
Thanks for a really good rehearsal. Notes:
Please work hard on your music this week.
If you weren’t there and don’t have music you will find it on Musetta in the files section: Spring 2017
If you have a couple of notes that you are unclear about and can’t figure out on your own, show up early next week (7:00) and someone will help you even though we might be hearing auditions as well.
For 1/9 please have “There’s No Business Like Show Business” memorized. Start memorizing “Number One Problem” as well (shoot for at least the first couple of pages up until you say “Bark! Stop!”)
