MOTHERS’ DAY
On Wednesday 8 May, Room 31 made beautiful frames for Mothers’ Day. We scratched out the black paint that revealed a rainbow underneath. We could then scratch out patterns, pictures and messages to personalise it for our mums. Then we drew a lovely portrait of our mum, choosing the background dye in blue, purple or yellow. We love our mums! By Josie, Room 31
WELCOME BACK TERM 2
Welcome to all the new families who have joined us this term, I am pleased to see our new students making new friends and settling well into their classroom routine.
CYBER SAFETY
The first of several Parent Information Sessions will be held on Monday 20 May at 6.00pm in the Harbeck Library. Issues related to cyber safety often occur outside of school hours therefore, parents have the primary responsibility for ongoing education and monitoring. I encourage parents of students from all age groups to attend this important, relevant and informative session. Please RSVP to Vicki.Roberts@education.wa.edu.au if you will be attending this session.
P&C GENERAL MEETING
Please note the P&C meeting will be held immediately after the Cyber Safety talk commencing at 7.00pm in the Harbeck centre. The concept drawings for the development of the undercover area will be on display and discussed at this meeting. All welcome!

UNIFORM POLICY
There is an interim Uniform Policy in place regarding wearing leggings and school hats. Mrs Mears will be identifying students who are not wearing the correct uniform in the coming weeks. See the policy HERE
HEAD LICE
We have had ten cases of head lice reported already this term, so we are dealing with a mini epidemic! This is particularly prevalent in Year 4 classes. Please be vigilant in checking your child’s hair and if you find eggs or lice follow the 10 day hair conditioner method of treatment outlined HERE and for more information see this FACT SHEET.
WASTE FREE WEDNESDAYS
Just a reminder to families that  Waste Free Wednesday is on again. This means no cling wrap, no tetra-packs and lunches in boxes with lots of lovely fresh fruit and vegetables. Waste-free Wednesday is a Good Health day!
