Dear <<First Name>>,
This week I got to share two things I love, TimeSlips
creative storytelling and laughter yoga, at the fabulous 13th annual Alzheimers' Assn Circle of Care Retreat
in Foster City. The event was designed especially for family caregivers, and some also brought their partners with mild or 'early stage' cognitive impairment. Those included several dear friends and also many new friends, made through the power of finding fun even in tough times.
The organizer shared a touching comment with me, that sums up why I do what I do:
"One of our volunteers, Mary, shared with me that the caregivers at her table were feeling so emotionally heavy. There was one woman who talked about how frustrated she feels with her father. Mary said that she was so encouraged to see this particular caregiver laughing and smiling during your activities! You truly have a gift for lightening up the room, and bringing in some much-needed laughter. "
So come and get some fun with me this month - and please talk to me about how I could bring some upbeat energy to a stressed-out group, or an event you are part of.
Click on the event links below to see all the details. And please, spread the good word by forwarding. Thanks!
