PURE is an immersive performative installation that investigates the influence of imagination and narratives on our perception of reality and their impact on the relations that compose « Me » and the « others things ». Swaying between visual arts and performance, PURE generate interactions between bodies and objects and creates situations in which the audience, the performers and the installations has equal function into a common art object. Unveiling the first mirror of ´Ciel de Bruxelles (recyclé)’, a permanent installation for the Recy-K building along the canal in Anderlecht. The building is used like a periscope: a series of mirrors channel the daylight to shape a circle of sky from the entrance on the site.
 

For the project ‘Periphery’, five artists and one artist duo have created new, semi-permanent work in the peripheral areas of the church and chapel. The selected artists have diverse practices, from performance to photography, installation art to animation. Emre Hüner’s solo exhibition [ELEKTROİZOLASYON]: Unknown Parameter Extro-Record brings together new works created around a semi-fictional script. In 2016 AlphaGo, a deep neural network developed by Google’s Deepmind, challenges the world champion of Go, Lee Sedol. Go is the oldest board game in the world and despite its simple appearance, the number of possible board positions in a Go game exceeds the amount of atoms in the universe. It is won by the presumed exclusively human skills of intuition and creativity, so no one expects a computer to be able to beat a human player. But the implausible happens: AlphaGo beats Sedol. In ‘Move 37’, Thomas Ryckewaert takes this moment as the starting point for a lecture performance about phenomena that are beyond human imagination.
