RTO7's COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update & Resources

Update #13 - April 1, 2020

At RTO7, we continue to try not to overwhelm you with too many Updates. Our goal is to provide you with timely updates and the sharing of information that will help with your recovery planning.  Below are the most current links of support from the Federal and Provincial governments that have been shared by many of our partners.

We will also be sharing requests for ‘Open For Business’ listings from organizations that are building “We Are Open” platforms.  These platforms are meant to encourage residents to contact and stay engaged with their local businesses, ordering online, ordering takeout, etc.  RTO7 will then support spreading the word of these platforms to the residents of Bruce, Grey and Simcoe counties.  We will make every attempt to target by community; however, sometimes the geography is too small, and the message may spill into neighbouring towns or regions which is great for on-line retail.  If you are building one of these platforms, please let us know so we can share the word.

If you are looking for an example, please click HERE to view Tourism Barrie’s platform, which is very well done.

Another good example is Tourism Simcoe County’s page, which can be seen HERE. Creating more opportunities to SHOP LOCAL.
