Hi <<First Name>>,

Following an Executive Order signed in April 2019, Governor Gavin Newsom's Administration is developing a water resilience portfolio to meet the needs of California's communities, economy, and environment through the 21st century. An interagency working group has been charged with developing a suite of recommended actions based on 7 policy principles

CalWEP was asked to provide input on what should be included in the portfolio, particularly around Portfolio Principle 3 (PP3): Embrace Innovation and New Technology. We had about 30 members participate in this process providing input on this principle in an effort led by Friends of the River (FOR).

FOR has released its compiled recommendations based on their extensive stakeholder engagement over the past several months. They are now looking for agencies, businesses and organizations to indicate where support lies within the recommendations.

Below you can find the recommendations and a sign on form should you want to indicate support for any of the recommendations. You can identify on the sign on form which recommendations are a priority for you; this data will influence the Governor's team in determining weight of given recs. However, the form is only open through COB tomorrow, September 20th.  I know this is an extremely tight turn around and may be impossible for some organizations to move through so quickly. That said, we want to ensure all CalWEP members were given this information and kept in the loop.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
