Woodlife Trails Newsletter - Mid-Summer 2015
In this issue we look at what is in store for late summer and autumn. We will also let you know what exciting projects we've got in the pipe-line.

Welcome to our Mid- Summer Newsletter

The show season is nearly finished and we would like to thank everyone who visited our stand at the various shows. We hope you will join us at Woodfest in Hatfield Forest for our final show.
Meanwhile we are gearing up for our autumn tracking courses. Our flagship Wilderness Immersion Course is sold out - but if enough people show an interest, we may still put on an extra date as last year.
Make sure you register an interest here.

Current List of Courses

Here's the current course list:

Diploma 2016

We now have 9 people on our Diploma programme at various stages. We are now taking registrations for 2016 - but, because of the number of people already on the programme, we are restricting places next year to just 3 people.
This programme is proving to be extremely popular. Not only do you get all your courses for free, but you can come along whenever we're in the Forest and just chill out and enjoy the surroundings or practice your bushcraft and tracking skills with us on a one-to-one basis. We also encourage you to assist and mentor on other coures - the first step to becoming a Bushcraft & Tracking instructor.
Primarily it's a great opportunity to learn bushcraft, tracking and natural history from the ground up in a structured way.
Go to the
Diploma page for more information.

Back to Bushcraft...

Our "Build a Bushcraft Course" competition prize draw at the Wilderness Gathering was a great success. Not only did we have a winner who has won a place on our Woodland Tracker Course, but we now have the opportunity to analyse your ideas. Don't forget we have a scheduled course that covers specific Bushcraft skills and wild camping essentials. Go here to see what's on offer.

Tracking Courses

There is more interest than ever in our tracking courses. We have 4 courses in the series starting with the new Tracking Fundementals day, followed by the Wilderness Immersion Course, the Woodland Tracker and now the Forest Tracker course.
If you are interested in doing any of these please go to our course list. There's a special Tracker Package (with a hefty discount) if you want to do all the courses in order.
Please go here for details of these courses.

Forest Life

We are well on the way to completing an exciting project overseas. Forest Life is in the Limousin region of France within the Forest of Claraveaux, part of the Millevanche Regional Nature Reserve.
With it's own renovated water-mill, riverside, meadow and woodland, Forest Life is ideal for wild camping, bushcraft, tracking, bird-watching and wildlife watching.
Although the Mill itself won't be available to the general public as yet, we hope to start running the odd tracking course next year. Meanwhile you can follow the development of the project on Facebook or on the Forest Life Website.
We continue our partnership with the National Trust at Hatfield Forest and we would like to thank the Team at Hatfield Forest for their continued support and trust in us.
Our base-camp at Collin's Coppice West is full of wildlife and is ideal for all our courses.
Read about our association with the National Trust and look out for the NT's own events taking place at Hatfield Forest.

Bespoke courses

Although not listed as scheduled courses, we are still running the odd bespoke course. These courses aren't just for professionals like Search and Rescue and Police, but also for enthusiasts, groups (great for team-building) and youth associations like cadets and scouts.
An example is Human tracking, which is a great day out or team building day. Pit your wits against our staff or each other.
We can also run corporate development and team-building days. With our expertise in Leadership Development and Management Training we can provide your organisation with necessary skills to train your leaders and build your team.
Go to our bespoke course page and let us know what you would like.

...And Finally...

Keep up to date with what we are up to and special offers.

Have a great summer and autumn.
