Last Chance to Nominate - Procurement Partner Sustainability Award

Accepted through 5:00pm EST, September 1, 2021.
To fulfill our commitment to fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, it is important that our faculty and staff communicate and are open to suppliers' ideas to help drive innovation and identify new and sustainable offerings.

We are currently accepting nominations for the 2021 Procurement Partner Sustainability Award, which will be presented in the fall.

Selection criteria:
The Procurement Partner Sustainability Award is presented to a supplier that supports the University in its goal of increasing the purchase of sustainable items through identification of green product offerings in catalogs through new and/or innovative goods or services it provides.

  • Does the product/program reflect a significant change in environmental impact?
  • Does the product/program support the University of Notre Dame Licensing Code of Conduct?
  • Is there tangible data to support the impacts of the product/program?
  • What is the reach of the product/program (e.g. departmental, campus-wide, broader community, etc.)?
  • Does the success of the product/program inspire behavioral change or influence peers to replicate?
Please submit a nomination now.  We rely you, the people that work directly with the vendors, to help make this award a success.  Thank you.

Shred Your Home Files at Work Day

Do you have old bank statements, checks, copies of bills or other non-business related confidential papers piling up at home?  We can help!  The University's shred provider, Shred-It, in conjunction with the University Archives, is offering a free, secure and confidential document shredding event for Notre Dame faculty and staff.

The 11th biannual shred event will be held on Wednesday, August 18th from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  A Shred-It truck will be parked in the parking lot of the Mason Services Center, which is located off of St. Joseph Drive behind the Notre Dame Federal Credit Union.  The truck accepts paper only, so please be sure to remove any binders, binder clips or non-paper items before the event (staples and paper clips are acceptable).  For the courtesy of others, we ask that you limit your shred material to no more than five file-size boxes.  We also ask that you remain with your material until it is in the shred truck as Notre Dame cannot be responsible for papers left unattended.  We will be happy to recycle your empty boxes so feel free to leave those behind.
