Sparkling Hill in British Columbia
Three days at Sparkling Hill consisted of pampering with wonderfully unique wellness treatments including a -166 F cold sauna, (yes, you read that correctly!) mud and massage, honey detox  and the exotic pantai luar treatment.  The property was designed with Austrian precision and beauty with nearly 4 million crystals throughout but the real beauty of this place is the approach to guest's health. No.1 Question to Ask Yourself
What's the Purpose of My Wellness Trip?

Vacations are precious and planning for your wellness trip is part of the fun!  The first question to ask yourself hinges on the goal of your trip. Is it to kick start a new health regiman? Take part in a fitness challenge? Enhance your yoga practice? Relax and decompress? Bond over adventure travel? Learn a new hobby like surfing in an exotic location? By identifying a goal, you'll have a clear picture of your ideal trip.
Vernon Promotes Wellness Travel
With a private tour from Vernon's Tourism Director, I experienced the power of nature first-hand as we toured the scenic vistas and stopped along the way at farms, orchards, a Farmer's market and speciality honey store with their own bee keeper. Vernon's take on wellness is all about the great outdoors, the 4 seasons and sports such as golf, skiing, fishing, biking, hiking and leisure activities such as festivals, wine tasting and more.
Planes, Germs & Travel Health
A study from the Journal of Environmental Health Research showed that colds may be more than 100 times more likely to be transmitted on a plane than during normal daily life on the ground. Viruses are able to thrive when the air isn’t as hot and they travel faster when the weather is not as humid, making it easier for them to go from one person to the next.
