Eavesdropping at the Market

Never Know What You Will Hear

In the hustle and bustle of the Market, I manage to hear and see a lot. Here is a taste of what this Sunday holds if it is anything like past Sundays.
"My favorite thing is the music and watching families and kids interact with each other and the musicians."
The Market is a great opportunity to get up close and personal with every type of musician and music possible. Kids have the room to dance and sing along with the music; lots of fun for free.
"I always come down to this market because I never know what will be going on any given Sunday."
We strive to offer quality and variety week in and week out. The market is for you, so if you have any ideas, come see me. I want to know. This Sunday come meet our newest vendor, Berkeley's very own, Octoberfeast; whole grain breads and delicious pastries.
"These are the best apricots I have ever tasted."
To each his own, but I agree. The Cot-N-Candy apricots at Frog Hollow Farms are small in size and mighty on flavor. Seriously great taste.
"Hangover or not, 'The Hair of the Dog' is crazy good."
We are talking about Catahoula Coffee's newest coffee drink. Slightly sweet with a hint of cinnamon, creamy and oh so good. A cup of this speciality Joe will jump start your day no matter which side of the bed you got up on.
"I love this Market. It is the best one in the East Bay. So many unique vendors."
We have unique, local farmers and artisans who take pride in their craft and their product. Fresh, fresh, fresh, most products made or picked right before coming to market. Check out some local sweetness from our new honey vendor, Bull Frog Honey. They offer a whole basket full of flavors from lavender to jalapeño.
Happy shopping. See you Sunday.
