Cape Coral residents concerned for neighbor living in rat-infested home


One neighborhood in southeast Cape Coral is concerned about a homeowner who lives in a rat-infested house.


According to the City website an inspection has been done.

Three high-rise condos coming to downtown Fort Myers skyline


Downtown Fort Myers is about to get a whole lot taller. The city is getting several new high-rise condo buildings.


The projects have been in the works for years. While Hurricane Ian set things back a bit, the project is moving forward, and a total of three new condos will be added to the city’s skyline.

Lighthouse of Southwest Florida will be holding its “Dining in the Dark” event on Saturday, April 22, from 6-9 p.m. at Heritage Palms Golf & Country Club in Fort Myers.


This event is a unique sensory awareness and dining experience providing guests with a first-hand glimpse into the challenges of living with blindness or low vision while raising much-needed funds to achieve Lighthouse of SWFL’s mission of providing vision rehabilitation and independence for those we are privileged to serve.

Family’s hydroponic venture takes root in Naples


The future of farming may be taking place at Naples Fresh on Immokalee Road.


The family-owned hydroponic farm uses recirculated water, state-of-the-art technology and science to grow lettuce in two huge greenhouses sitting on one acre.


Their year-round production in a climate and pest-controlled environment exceeds farms planting in dirt.
