Get the latest on the RN Tennis Court, RNHOA Cleanup, the RN Sign, and a meeting with PG&E!

The historic Rio Nido sign has left Rio Nido for the first time since it was first made in '40 (and knocked down by the Grateful Dead's truck in app. '67!) to begin refurbishment. Many thanks to our hoisters, Larry, Doug & Steve! FUNDRAISING REQUEST BELOW.

Success! Thanks to RRR&P and the dedicated Rio Nidans who have been promoting the interests of tennis players in Rio Nido -- last week the RRR&P approved the funding to resurface our Rio Nido courts! HUGE kudos to Todd, Doug, Beverly, Steve, Elena and others for their crucial work in this area.  (Doug mentioned the formation of a RN tennis club - stay tuned tennis players!)

Fundraising for the Historic RN Sign

This week we paid half the invoice for refurbishment of the historic RN sign out, and the other half is due shortly (totaling app. $2.8k). Can you help us raise money for the sign project?  Help demonstrate our community's interest and support for the project.

NOTE "RN SIGN" ON YOUR CHECK'S MEMO LINE OR IN THE NOTES FIELD ON THE PAYPAL SCREEN (OR EMAIL US) SO WE CAN TRACK SIGN DONATIONS SEPARATELY.

Concerns/Comments regarding PG&E services?

A meeting with key PG&E focal points is imminent, so your feedback would be welcomed.  Please email John with your comments for PG&E, particularly related to wiring/cables in your area, or the tree services performed by PG&E.

Rio Nido RNHOA Cleanup -- Success thanks to our volunteers!

A huge thank you to our many diligent volunteers on Saturday, and to RNHOA for leading this cleanup. Helper bees and garbage/ recyclable gatherers, hoisters, and unloaders included Doug, Jennifer, Troy, Frank, Jayne, Margot, Cathy, John, Dave, Elena, Beverly, Ingrid, Kasey, Fred, Kim, and several other tireless contributors (apologies to not capture everyone's names).

Congrats to all on a job well done!

A serious aside regarding the annual RN cleanups

We've been doing a bang-up job of cleaning up our community.  Thanks to all!

The focus of the cleanups are to ensure our shared public spaces and watershed areas retain their natural beauty. Thus, our ability to collect personal household garbage, and commercial waste from private local businesses, will be dramatically reduced in future cleanups (if additional cleanups are warranted).

Personal/commercial garbage should either be taken to the local Guerneville transfer station, or regular garbage service retained.  Per the latest garbage rates, note that it only costs $21.51/month for a weekly 20gal garbage can pickup, which automatically comes with unlimited recycling and yard waste pickup!
