Necro Deathmort
The Colonial Script
Album! Tour!

gf

There's too much excitement this month, yes indeed.  After storming Roadburn earlier this week, Necro Deathmort's third album The Colonial Scripts  has landed at Distraction HQ and we're beyond chuffed with the results: it's undoubtedly their strongest, heaviest and most accomplished album yet.

It's all what you expect and then some. Dingy, gritty sounds that creeps, lurks, builds, elongates, teases, and piledrives you in the face with switchblade beats and apocalyptic crescendos. And that's just in the first tune. Over the course of the nine tracks, you can expect to hear grainy, doomy ambience, whirlpools of 23hz low-end scuzz, acidburn waspsynth buzz, thudding and juddering feedback-ridden roars, distorted nihilistic yelps, doomscaping visceral breaks, buzzsawing smackstrung loops, all seamlessly weaved together in a brutal but beautiful tapestry. Maximum volume yields maximum results!  All lovingly encased in a awesome six-panel digipak with artwork by
Thomas Neulinger.

We are now taking pre-orders on this little doozy on our web site for the measly amount of £6.99 + shipping, and you can save money on Music of Bleak Origin and the new album on the same page for just £11.99 + shipping.  Bargain eh?

To celebrate this release, Necro Deathmort will be hitting the road over the next seven days with a box full of knarly-looking t-shirts and the new album on offer.  We should be shipping the album from
24th April, so if you can't wait, buy it at the gigs!

Warm Digits
Keep Warm... with the Warm Digits
Now on Compact Disc!

This past Monday saw Andrew Weatherall favourites (no, we'll never get tired of saying that) Warm Digits release their debut album Keep Warm. . . with the Warm Digits on CD, and with it came a new raft of great reviews from the likes of Time Out ("a highly impressive debut"), Rock-A-Rolla ("making repetítion and big builds into an artform"), Loud and Quiet ("an engrossing and enlightened collection of songs"), and Allmusic ("Engaging from start to finish, Keep Warm. . . is a lively retort to anyone who thinks Krautrock is too predictable or instrumental music is boring").

Continuing to rack up the airplays from the likes of 6music et al, the album can be purchased from your favourite rekkid store (it's not a part of the Record Store Day releases, but ask for it!), or via our website for £6.99 + shipping.

Also!  Production legend Justin Robertson – songwriter, creator of cosmic disco dub, Balearic love and bespoke techno – has served up a pair of lovely remixes of two songs from their album, Trans-Pennine Express and Grapefruit, which are available now on Soundcloud. Check 'em out!

Oh, and stay tuned for details about a VERY special Warm Digits-related release soon!
