Today I learned...
A little planning goes a long way.
Have you ever heard of Banzai Skydiving? It is an actual sport. The participants throw out their parachute first, then jump out of the plane and hope to catch up to it, strap it on, and deploy it before smacking into the ground.
Do you feel like a lot of your life is similar, as if you tossed out your sanity first, then jumped into the world in hopes of catching up?
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the longest recorded time between leaving the plane and hooking up with the parachute is 50 seconds. It probably felt like 50 years to the person involved.
I'm not saying that we should all just stay on the plane and never take any chances. I am saying that when you do go for something extreme, at least get the order correct.
