Today I learned...
Trust in abundance.
I've had a roller-coaster life, fraught with really really good and really really bad. Do I worry what tomorrow will bring?
Should I? No.
Worry is a prayer for something you don't want.
When you focus on what you don't want, you'll get more of it. Trust me, I know. It's like playing darts. The more you focus on the bullseye, the more likely you are to hit it. What is your bullseye?
Over the course of the last six months, I have made a conscious effort to focus instead on abundance. It's been difficult this past year as we've been clawing ourselves out of a hole - but it's also been working. Yes, it took time. Yes, it took effort - but I was no longer working my tail off in a hamster wheel, I was actually making progress and I no longer feel like a scurrying rodent.
I'm not living in a mansion on a hill over the lake and driving a convertible (yet), but I will continue to trust in abundance and count my many blessings at least daily.
I'm focusing on the goal - and that goal is abundance. Not just wealth, either. Love, security, joy, health. What's funny is that, once I started focusing on abundance, I found that I had started with several of those things already.
