DC Board of Elections Receives 65k+ 
Absentee Ballot Requests

Social distancing measures will be enforced at all vote centers. All locations will open from 8:30am until 7pm on June 2. On Election Day, all vote centers will open from 7am until 8pm. The usual 144 precincts will NOT open on Election Day. For details on voting visit

DC Pro Bono SmallBiz Legal Advice
Currently, in-person Small Business Brief Advice Legal Clinics are paused to protect our volunteers and clients, and to limit the spread of COVID-19. Through this form, entrepreneurs and small business owners may submit a request for remote brief legal advice. Consultations will last up to 45 minutes.


 Grants for Women In Technology
$10,000 equity-free grants will be awarded by Women Who Tech to women-led tech startups on a rolling basis through 2020. Women Who Tech will open a call for applicants approximately every seven weeks based on different themes. Sign up here to be alerted.

Restaurant: WHUR 96.3 FM--Free Radio Promo
WHUR Radio has created an "Open for Business" free on-air promo that will highlight local restaurant businesses. Operators can talk about what they are offering during COVID-19, including take-out and delivery, and share a link to order. Alternatively, restaurants can feature their chef, a special menu, etc. Each week, the free promo will include four restaurants. Click here for more information

Housing: Temp Housing Pilot Project 
Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) has launched a collaboration 90-day pilot project to establish a Recuperative Housing Center. The center will provide 50 beds of temporary housing and continued care for patients who are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity and need a safe place to continue their recovery, immediately following a hospital discharge. Read more on how this collaboration is the first of its kind in Michigan.
