Think Local First DC showcased in New Corcoran Exhibition! Opens March 12th

The 27 selected works from the Corcoran Study Collection in Concurring Experiences: Together Apart follow exploration of the themes of isolation, social, and hope. This show is presented in eight distinct groups evoking a journey to parallel universal experiences of life in 2020. Think Local First is featured under the theme: Together Uplift with three artists. This show will be one of the first physical installments into the Luther W. Brady Art Gallery in Washington, DC in a post-2020 world.

The American Rescue Plan was approved by the House on March 10 and is now heading toward its final passage. It is expected to be signed by the President before the end of the week and will include funds dedicated to a new SBA grant program for food and beverage small businesses. The Independent Restaurant Coalition has been advocating at the federal level for stronger support for your industry and is looking to us now to help spread the word on how you may benefit from these grants. **NOTE: Unlike loans, grants are non-repayable. 

The Independent Restaurant Coalition is holding virtual roundtable discussions over the next week. We would encourage you to attend at least one to learn more and ask questions:

Small Business Procurement Reform Omnibus Amendment Act of 2021

CM Robert White’s Small Business Procurement Reform Omnibus Amendment Act of 2021, which contains CBE amendments, has been reintroduced as Bill 24-74 by filing with the Secretary. It has been referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Facilities and the Committee on Business and Economic Development. Read the legislation and learn more.
