Through May 27, we’re surveying the community and need your opinions on the two design concepts for the three new and significant public spaces totaling more than 43,000 SF (that's 5x the size of Swampoodle Park!) that will result from DDOT’s redesign of this vexing intersection. Please watch the videos, thentake the survey.
Note: This feedback opportunity focuses solely on the new public spaces, not the traffic patterns or cycling infrastructure (those comments should be made directly to DDOT.)
Win Restaurant Gift Cards by Taking NoMa Community Survey!
With businesses readying to reopen, now's your chance to win a gift card to try out some new fare or revisit your favorite NoMa dining spot. NoMa BID will be awarding gift cards each week, and everyone who takes our Community Survey is eligible to win. The survey is only 20 questions and helps us better understand how you feel about neighborhood amenities, safety, cleanliness, events programming and much more. Take the 2020 NoMa Community Survey now for a chance to win one of the 70 gift cards we’ve purchased from local dining spots – it's our way of saying "thanks" for your valuable input and another way NoMa BID is working to support local businesses.
Mayor Bowser has announced that Phase One reopening may begin as early as Friday, May 29, if the data trends continue to show a sustained decrease in community spread of COVID-19. Permissible activities during Phase One include:
Outdoor seating at restaurants with physical distancing and safeguards in place; bars and nightclubs will remain closed;
Non-essential retailers can provide curbside ordering and delivery;
Barbershops and hair salons can reopen by appointment with strong safeguards and physical distancing.
While we're all looking forward to reopening, it's important to remember that safety comes first, including maintaining at least a six-foot distance from others, wearing masks when in public to protect yourself and others, and frequent handwashing or use of hand sanitizer, among other precautions.
Please continue to support local NoMa businesses by purchasing gift cards and ordering from your favorite dining spots, many of which have updated their menu options and hours of operation:
CR NoMa: Tues – Sat 3 – 8:30PM for pick up & delivery
Uptown Cafe: Mon – Fri 6:30 AM – 2 PM; Sat 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
