Pumpkin Carving and Happy Hour
A pumpkin patch is coming to NoMa on Thursday, October 24. Stop by and enjoy happy hour food and drinks with family, friends and the cutest petting zoo in the city! Union Kitchen members will sell beer, wine, hot apple cider, pumpkin ice cream, Asian 5 spice pulled pork sandwich and edamame wrap. We are no longer taking reservations for pumpkins, but a small portion of pumpkins will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Come early and snag a pumpkin before they are gone. Carvers may bring their own, more substantial carving tools, or share one of the NoMa provided carving kits with those around them.

Don’t want to get your hands in pumpkin guts? No problem! Hang out under the stars and listen to live music by Sam’O and join a candy scavenger hunt for children. Live music, petting zoo, candy scavenger hunt, pumpkins and carving utensils are free. The petting zoo will feature an assortment of cute critters including but not limited to: bunnies, chicks and sheep. Special thank you to Camden NoMa (opening soon on L Street!) for sponsoring the event, and to Tishman Speyer for providing the site. More at http://www.nomabid.org/pumpkin-carving/.
