If you can't make it over to Family Film Night, check out one of the many other kid-centric activities going on throughout the city in honor of National Night Out. An annual campaign, National Night Out aims to rally neighbors, community leaders, families, and police officers to take back the night for fun, community-oriented festivities. The national campaign brings together over 37.8 million people and 16,124 communities from all fifty states, U.S. Territories, and military bases worldwide. Join MPD 5D for an evening of celebration at the Florida Avenue Park (First Street and Florida Avenue, NW) from 6-9 PM. There will be crime prevention tips, food, and child fingerprinting.
