Somerset Business Recovery Survey 2021

Somerset’s five Local Authorities are jointly undertaking this vital survey to help us better understand and respond to local business needs, with a particular focus on the impacts that COVID-19 will have had on many businesses over the last 12 months.

By completing this survey, you will be providing much needed intelligence to help shape our approach to economic recovery in Somerset, including the support that businesses will be able to receive.

Should you wish to provide your details at the end of the survey, we will share the findings of this survey with you as soon as they are available. We may also be able to offer specific advice and support based on the responses you have given.

We know your time is precious, but the survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and your views could make a real difference.

Please be assured that your personal data will not be shared with anyone outside of Somerset’s local authorities and you will remain fully anonymous in any reporting.
To complete the survey, please click on the following link:

If you have questions about the survey or wish to provide additional feedback, please email:
A Global MBA team from Alliance Manchester Business School would like to invite you to complete an e-survey, as part of a research evaluating proactive approaches to support the local economies and revival of town centres across the UK. The survey takes 8 minutes.

Your inputs will help us better understand:
  • The issues that new businesses face while attempting to establish a presence in the local economy.
  • How business incubation models can be best adapted to support new businesses in our high streets and town centres.
  • What sets some businesses apart from others, enabling them to be more resilient in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic and other disruptive socio-economic events.

Become a youth friendly employer and connect with young people in Somerset

Somerset Education Business Partnership has teamed up with Youth Employment UK to launch a new online platform to showcase Somerset as a Youth Friendly Place.

This online platform supports young people to find out about the jobs, apprenticeships and training options available in their area. It will also include career ideas, job hunting tips, travel information, wellbeing support and access to youth groups.

Young people can connect to employers signed up to Youth Employment UK’s free Good Youth Employment charter. As well as recognising businesses as a Youth Friendly Employer, it also provides free resources and support to businesses to explore how to engage with young people to effectively meet your business needs.
