The 2010 Boston Reunion

NYSCAA was pleased to hold its annual reunion in the Boston/Cambridge area on August 5-8, 2010. Through the extended weekend, we made use of housing and meeting facilities on the campus of Lesley University in Cambridge. Highlights of the reunion included: a tour of the JFK Presidential Library and Museum; a relaxing afternoon boat cruise down the Charles River; and a tour of the Union of Concerned Scientists hosted by our own Dr. Laura Grego (MI88).  There were approximately twenty alumni in attendance at our Saturday morning business meeting, and afterward Ryan Edel (IL98), Sonny Li (MA90), and Dave Hackleman (OR69) provided seminars of their work. That evening, we concluded with a banquet at Josh Sheldon’s (PA91) church located conveniently in Harvard Square, where we were delighted to have approximately forty alumni and guests in attendance!

We are particularly grateful to our Cambridge- and Boston-area local volunteers, who contributed significant time and effort to making the reunion a success: Judy Engibous (LA81), Silvia Harper (NH82), Josh Sheldon, Harry Tsai (TN91), and Julie Wentworth (RI94).

Alumni Survey - We Need Your Input

The main mission of the NYSCAA is to keep alumni of the camp informed and united.  In order to help us do this, we have developed a survey to help us identify and re-evaluate how we work to inform and unite the NYSC alumni.  Please take a couple of minutes to answer our brief survey.  Anyone who enters their name is eligible for a raffle drawing.  Prizes include six gift cards worth $25 each to either Amazon or iTunes.  We want to hear from you!
