Kinnect leverages its expertise to transform the child welfare system. Kinnect to Family team members Alyse Almadani and Cait Proctor-Frazier presented a workshop on Developing a CQI System from the Ground Up at the CQI Conference in Illinois. They shared the challenges, strategies and successes of setting up a new CQI system and using the data to drive decisions.

The Youth-Centered Permanency Roundtables Program held its annual symposium November 18.
The theme was Recharging for Permanency. Guest presenters Matt Anderson and Nikki Chinn invited the 44 participants to think about energy and what energizes them about their work. They guided them through the process of considering who was impactful to them as a young person and exploring how to bring that energy and impact to the young people they serve. Kinnect Trainer Heather Jamison explored “How to Refuel Your Why.” The YCPRT Advisory Committee will resume meeting in person next year.

Ohio's Youth Navigator Network (YNN) site is live! YNN offers personalized, one-on-one support to help youth who are in care or have been in care navigate basic needs, health and well-being, housing, career, legal, education, and family issues. At YNN, we believe youth are inherently capable of finding solutions to the circumstances and challenges they face. The YNN program takes an inclusive, engaging, and genuine approach to strengthening youth and their networks.

Kinship Caregivers are invited to join The Inherent Strengths of Kinship Families, a December webinar series designed just for caregivers. It features videos by kinship expert Dr. Joseph Crumbley. The topics discussed will include attachment, legacies, identity, healing, adaptability, and co-parenting.
