Two special events in March

Readers of the KRU newsletter are invited to two special events taking place in March at the Victorian Archives Centre:

A seminar exploring Women at War, including letters by indigenous mothers about sons at war, is taking place on the 11th with special guest speakers Dr Janet Butler and Professor Patricia Grimshaw. And on the 26th, we hold our final tour of the current exhibition, walata tyamateetj carry knowledge. Places are limited, register online today.

Following the success of two fully booked tours of walata tyamateetj: carry knowledge, we have decided to run a third and final curator’s tour on the 26th of March.

Don't miss this opportunity to take a small guided group tour of these records, with Public Record Office's Carly Godden and Jessica Reid, before the exhibition closes.

This interesting exhibition offers access to important Aboriginal records rarely put on public display, dating back from early settlement of Victoria in the mid-1800s through to the 1960s.
