Jason Ringenberg Solo Show. Tuesday, June 23rd, 6-7:30pm, Sweet P’s Downtown Dive

Throughout the '80s and '90s Jason and the Nashville Scorchers tore up venues across the planet and became known as one of the most exciting live bands of their era. On classic LPs like Fervor and Lost and Found  they “singlehandedly rewrote the history of rock ‘n roll in the South” (Rolling Stone.)  Their instinctive ability to combine traditional country music with high-energy punk rock has not been surpassed to this day. In 2008 they were awarded the Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award for Performance.

Never one to rest on his laurels, in 1999  front man Jason Ringenberg the “Godfather of Americana” (Mojo) went solo. To date, he has released five  Jason Ringenberg solo albums, with everyone from the BBC  to USA Today  lauding his songwriting.  His high octane one-man show prompted The Times (UK) to call him “one of the most exciting performers of his generation.” This FREE! solo acoustic show is sure to be one of the highlights of the summer! Looking For Downtown Parking?

Downtown has free parking on nights and weekends, but with the expansion project at the State Street Garage, finding parking can be confusing. Keep up-to-date with the city of Knoxville parking blog by clicking here.

Also,
There's now an app that can help you strategically pick your parking garage destination, before you even start your car and pull out of the driveway.

Parkopedia.com offers a free phone app that reports data from sensors at the entrances to City-owned downtown garages. So you can see, in real-time, how many parking spaces are available at each garage.

Visit Parkopedia.com to get the app. Enter Knoxville when prompted to enter a city or place.
