Opportunity Atlas
Which US neighborhoods offer children the best chance to rise out of poverty? In a collaboration with Harvard University and Brown University, the US Census Bureau constructed the Opportunity Atlas, a comprehensive Census tract-level dataset of children’s outcomes in adulthood using data covering nearly the entire U.S. population. See where and for whom opportunity has been missing, and how where someone is born helps determine their life outcomes.
