Join us for the first ATLAS
Artists & Makers
Plenum

14th May

10.30- 12.00

The aim of this informal plenum is for Artists and Makers across Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh to locate one another, and to talk about what has and has not changed in the wake of Covid-19. ATLAS would like to build a sense of the desires of artists in our locale - now and in the longer term - and to explore how ATLAS can advocate for these.
In these uncertain times it feels important to come together to offer each other support, listen, and attend to different ways of working.
The Plenum is a very informal assembly, taking place online via Zoom, a platform for holding meetings with larger groups over the internet, or by dialing in on your phone. The event will take the following loose form:
  • Email admin@atlasarts.org.uk to be sent a Zoom link/number for this event. You can then join online or by phone
  • We will discuss together the various approaches and ways of working as artists and makers around Skye and Lochalsh. What do you need and want as an artist, poet, writer, maker, etc? What's important for situating your practice here?
  • You do not need to share work, but if you feel it will help you are welcome to do so
  • The sessions will be small groups of around 8 people
  • If you’d rather just listen in, that’s fine
  • Closed captions for the discussion can be enabled
  • If we can make it easier for you or others to attend please do get in touch. If you know of anyone you think would like to join but who does not have internet access, please let us know and we can follow up with them
  • The conversation will be mediated by ATLAS Arts team, Ainslie, Katharine and Heather
Take care
