Ken Elliott's Newsletter  August 2013

News for August:

It has been a remarkable time for exploring. Last month my dear friend and fellow colorist Casey Klahn and I hosted a joint art workshop in the amazing Madden Museum of Art. The class included artists just beginning up to professionals and we all came away with new skills and excitement. We experienced plenty of challenges, breakthroughs and good fun.

There are 'Making it Fine Art' Workshops scheduled for Houston, Nov 2013 and St. Simons Island, GA. in 2014. I hope you will join me there. contact Ken to register and view my website for more info / what people are saying about the workshops

Last month during an expedition of sorts in my studio, I reworked a previously finished oil (creatively destroyed it) and remade a new work from the ashes, "Heat in the Back of the Forest." It is a real challenge and delight to take a good work and make it even better. I've posted it below.

I have three exhibits currently on display in Denver. New works are emerging on the easel and I'm looking forward to sharing them with you soon.
