March News:

If people only knew how hard I work to gain my mastery. It wouldn't seem so wonderful at all.
Michelangelo

He has it right, there is work involved and in Michelangelo's case, more struggle and toil than we can imagine. Still, it is a wonderful task, being an artist with some days flowing more smoothly than others, but all the days are precious.

Signed, limited edition giclee
More information / to purchase

My thanks for Jackson Hanks, owner of the Texas First Title Company in Palestine, TX for his purchase of 21 signed, limited edition giclees, including the one above for the offices there.

I will soon be announcing a couple of on-site art workshops at my Castle Rock, CO home / studio in in mid to late summer. More information will become available in the coming months.

My 4 month, online mentoring sessions and on-site private classes continue as well. There are a limited number of dates available each month, so please join in soon. Feel free to contact me to begin a conversation about the possibilities.

There are a number of canvases and a commission underway in the studios. Each is vying for attention, so after a good nights rest, the canvases and I will resume our conversations and determine how to give them life and release them into the world.

Enjoy the new Spring season!

Ken

American Art Collector Magazine:

"Elliott's canvases display the strikingly vivid modern hues in which he chooses to render his contemporary landscapes."

Southwest Art Magazine:
Although his paintings loosely reference photographs and plein-air sketches, they refuse to exist within the confines of already-prescribed images.

Rather, they stand independent of any specific place or time, the fulfilled pursuits of the artist’s visual and intellectual explorations.

Elliott wields color boldly, creating sizzling, vibrant shapes that are at once kinetic and placid, grounded in unifying illumination, and focused compositions.

He has a fascination with line structure as well, believing that “edges empower colors.”

Private Lessons and studio visits:
I have really enjoyed giving private lessons individually or with groups over the years. It is casual, focused and fun. It is always a pleasure welcoming collectors into my studio, please email me a call to arrange a time.

The workshops are very stimulating and you will see a big result in your approach to making fine art and clarity on your career strategies. Let's discuss what works best for you.
