HCAM to Host Downtown Corridor Project Forum, Monday December 2nd

On Monday December 2nd at 7pm, HCAM in partnership with eHop will host a Downtown Corridor Project forum at the HCAM studios (77 Main Street). The program will air live on HCAM-TV and concentrate on discussion about the proposed project in preparation for the upcoming Special Town Meeting on December 9th.

The forum will feature a panel of those who are for the project and also members of a group called the Main Street Alliance, who is opposed to the project.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the forum and submit questions by email. Questions for the forum may be submitted to news@hcam.tv by Friday, November 29th.

The Special Town Meeting will take place on Monday, December 9th at 7pm at Hopkinton Middle School.

Boy Scout Holiday Tree Sale

Hopkinton Boy Scout Troop 1 is selling fresh cut Christmas trees again this year. The tree lot behind CVS opens after Thanksgiving, on Friday, November 29 at 9:00am. The trees are the fragrant traditional New England Balsam Fir (4-11 ft.) and the dark green, low-shedding, sturdy-branched Fraser Fir (5-12 ft.). The scouts will be selling trees until they are gone. Hours are Wed 4-7pm, Thurs 4-7pm, Fri 4-9pm, Sat 9am-8pm, Sun 9am-6pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Along with each tree comes information on how to recycle the tree at the end of the season. Video: School Superintendent, Dr Carol Cavanaugh updates about Hopkinton Public Schools Public Hearing

On Thursday December 5th, a Hopkinton Public Schools Public Hearing will take place at Hopkinton High School from 6 until 7pm. Topics will include Enrollment, Physical Plant Needs, 10-year Build-Out Plan and Impact of construction on academic programming. There is also an opportunity for those planning on to attend to view the newly renovated space at the White House building at 4pm.
