Other Newtown News...

The Community Emergency Response Plan Meeting on 9th December went very well, it was fantastic to see so many people from Newtown and Berhampore get together to learn, share and generate ideas.  You can read all about it, and about what happens next, here.

We had an enjoyable Christmas Party on Sunday 14th December, many thanks to all who helped to make it a success.  Unfortunately the planned Christmas Carols in Carrara Park were rained out - lets hope we have better luck next time!

The Newtown Community Garden Group also found their BBQ in Carrara Park was pretty damp.  The garden group itself is flourishing, and you can follow their activities on Facebook.

Planning for the Newtown Festival is gathering momentum.  There will be six weeks of events celebrating Newtown, starting with Carnival Del Barrio hosted by Bebemos, February 13th - 15th.  Get all the details of this and other events here.
