Is your market calendar full?
Are you looking for more opportunities?
Our friends at the Island Bay Festival want you to know that they still have a few spots available for stalls at their "Day at the Bay" on February 12th. Their stall application is here. - including information about stall sizes and prices - but they would like to hear from you before Jan 31st.
Find out more about their wonderful Festival here, or see a video of the 2016 event here.
If you have booked for our Newtown Festival Street Fair Day on March 5th we are looking forward to seeing you!

We are about to allocate the stall sites, and we have some requests:
  • If you haven't paid yet, please do this now, or contact us to discuss!  Remember, sites are allocated to paid up stalls!
  • If you have a food stall, have you sent in your food handling form? We need to submit these to Wellington City Council as soon as possible.
  • Again for food stalls, we do want as much  food packaging as possible to be compostable - there are compostable products for most purposes - see below!
Saving the Planet -
One wooden fork or compostable container at a time!
Please use unbleached napkins, wooden cutlery, and compostable containers. Unfortunately cups and mugs are an issue as many of them are PLA products and Capital Compost won't accept them from events - the quantities are too great and gum up the works. If there is no other alternative to PLA please try and get recyclable cups instead. We know this won't be possible for coffee mugs - your "compostable" PLA-lined mugs are still better than the other sort.

There are several suppliers of acceptable products and one good supplier, Ecoware, who will give our stallholders a 20% discount.  If you are going to Island Bay as well you could also use the products there!  Ecoware sell wooden cutlery and other fully compostable packaging, here is a brochure and price list. They do sell PLA products but this list only has the items acceptable for our compost stations.  If you are planning to ask Ecoware about a discount its best to contact Luke Wishnowsky, their National Sales Manager, on his private email , and tell him you are one of our stallholders.

If you haven't booked a stall with us and still want to, there are a few places left. To book now - just follow this link! .  However please don't hope to be on Riddiford St at this stage. If you sell crafts, Green St is a good choice, but for other stalls we will find you the best site we can.
