A note from the new General Manager

As you all have probably heard by now I have taken over as Interim General Manager of our Co-op.  I am excited at the opportunity and look forward to what is to come. Since the Co-op opened in May I have been working as our Produce, Meat, and Dairy manager.  I’m happy to announce that Jon Ault will replace me in this position.  Jon has been one of the most involved people in the Co-op over the past few years in the planning and pre-opening phase. He also has tremendous knowledge of Co-ops, produce, local farms, and the greater Gardiner community. He will fit in very well with our current staff and will help us progress both in the short and long term.

Over the past four months we have been rapidly learning and working hard to bring you the Co-op experience you deserve.  We know there is still a lot of work to be done and thank you all for your support, patience, and regular visits to the Co-op.  I am confident that the Co-op will continue to develop into an even more inviting place to find the products you are looking for on a weekly basis.

October is National Co-op month.  This gives us an opportunity to think about what our Co-op means to the community. The cool air outside brings us refreshing moments for spending time inside cooking with our families, friends, and new acquaintances while still being able to enjoy the warmth of the sun.  I hope that the Co-op will become a regular destination in your search for local ingredients, recipes ideas, and a welcoming atmosphere. By shopping with us you are keeping more money in your community, contributing to sustainable companies and products, and providing you and your family with high quality foods.

Be well and see you at the Co-op

Shawn
