“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (James 1:27 -NIV)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

James 1:27 ministers to me as message of alignment. Often when people receive salvation by declaring Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they can easily settle into cruise control; however, we are called to abide daily (John 15). As we align and abide, we faithfully prepare ourselves for His return.

About 8 years ago, the Lord gave me James 1:27 to ponder and actively apply in my own life. That revelation aligned my heart with the Lord. I consistently try to put it into action to ensure I am seeking His ways. The pursuit of going deeper with the Lord is what led me to this ministry, as well as other personal reasons. Upon God's sure foundation and the support of your fulfillment of James 1:27, this ministry is growing from the ground up. God is actively at work piecing it all together and creating a lasting work of which we can all say, Amen!

Please share with us how God brought you to this ministry. Something ignited a spark within your heart and we believe that was The Holy Spirit. Some of you have your own very personal story of why you were drawn to this ministry. Please email us at: tracey.guhin@gmail.com what is on your heart if you would like to share.

God is on the move,

Ana Martinez

Visitation for 4 Year Old Boy & His Mom – Volunteers Needed

Kids in foster care are often separated from their family members. These precious kiddos truly enjoy when designated times are granted to spend with their family! We have the amazing opportunity to use Mariners Church as a safe and fun space for families to see one another and have their visits together on our beautiful campus.
We currently have a mom who is having her visits with her four year old son at Mariners on Thursdays from 10:30 am -2:30 pm. We are in need of volunteers to help with this visitation and also with transportation support for the mom. We need your warm hearts and hospitality to make this a sacred special space for this mom and child.

To volunteer with the visit please contact Mariners Foster Youth and Families:
