from Impact Middle East leader in Egypt

Al Doksh was known to be a very evil prisoner. He was condemned to life imprisonment with hard labor for committing so many crimes.
Each week he watched the pastor who visited Christian prisoners. He saw how the pastor loved and encouraged the prisoners. Although he was of the majority religion, Al Doksh began to ask the pastor to pray for him each week.
One day Al Doksh asked the pastor to visit a fellow prisoner. The man had been a millionaire but had lost all his money. In fact, he did not have enough money to hire a lawyer. The pastor offered to cover the cost of legal representation for him, but the former millionaire declined the offer. When the pastor asked why, the man said he was glad to be in prison. Before he had been into a life of pornography and did not have a relationship with Jesus. While in prison, he had found Jesus as his Savior, and he did not want to go back to his old life. The pastor asked him if there was anything he could do for him. The man answered, “I would like to receive communion.” The pastor replied, “I will do that for you.”
The next week, the pastor came to the prison. Al Doksh was waiting for him, and, as usual, he asked the pastor to pray for him. Then the pastor went to serve communion to the former millionaire. When he finished, Al Doksh asked him to serve him communion, as well.
The pastor told him, “No. Communion is for Christians only.”
Al Doksh asked him, “How do I become a Christian?”
The pastor told him that he must believe, and then he must be baptized. Al Doksh responded, “I do believe, and I want to be baptized now!”
Sprinkling water on him, the pastor baptized Al Doksh in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The pastor said to Al Doksh, “I will bring communion for you next week.”
Al Doksh responded, “You will not find me!”
The pastor replied, “Where will you go? You are always here!”
When the pastor arrived the following week, Al Doksh was not waiting for him. The pastor asked the officers where he was. They informed him Al Doksh had passed away.
Praise God because He is always working – with everyone and in every place. Inside the prison and outside the prison, Jesus is always working in people’s hearts.
Please pray for our ministry with prisoners and their families.
