Ballard Homeless Encampment

Although far from ideal, the Sustainable Ballard Board strongly supports facilities for the homeless – including the proposed encampments on city-owned land – until better and more permanent solutions can be achieved. There are many ways we can work together to help our community -- like funding the construction of a Tiny House!

Ballard Tool Library Meeting - September 10

Join us for our September meeting where we will discuss our proposal for St. Luke’s as a Ballard Tool Library location. We’ll also discuss our participation in the upcoming Sustainable Ballard Festival. Thursday, September 10 at 5:30 p.m.


Ballard Share and Play Now Open!

Thank you to Toast and everyone who came and enjoyed the opening of Ballard Share and Play! Now up and running at five locations throughout Ballard, Share and Play lets families give or take gently used toys, clothing, books and gear for babies, toddlers or young kids.

Please join Groundswell NW to pull weeds and keep the sight lines open at the 36th Ave NW median, starting early to beat the heat! Bring work gloves, water and any favorite weeding tools.
