Eclectic, artsy, earthy, urban and committed to a better future... you’ll find all this and more at the 13th Annual Sustainable Ballard Festival.

Help make the festival a blast...volunteer!

Some great volunteer opportunities are available. We'd love to hear from you ahead of time, but even if you just have an hour, please drop by the info booth at the festival and we'll give you an assignment. There are many ways you can help out and participate in this exciting event. Sign up now...great shifts are still available!

Visit our Tea Garden!

Step into the world of “Alice in Wonderland” in our very own Tea Garden. Sponsored by Miro Tea, Festival-goers will enjoy tea samples paired with delicious dessert bites from Ballard shops. Just $5 for a dessert sample and unlimited tea tastes!

Get your FREE Chinook Book!

Starting at 11 a.m., the first 120 Festival attendees at the Chinook Book table (at the Outdoor Classroom) will receive a free 2017 Chinook Book (print edition) compliments of Swansons Nursery.

You won't want to miss buying a raffle ticket!

Thanks to a generous donation from Electric and Folding Bikes NW, we’ll be raffling off a Raleigh Venture IE electric bike (retail price $2,400) and from Slab Art Studios, a Life Edge Walnut Side Table (retail price $550)! Also on the raffle prize list: gifts ranging from $50-200 from Ballard Liquor Co, Peddler Brewing, Shakti Yoga, Divine Spine, Trilogy Chiropractic (massage!), Beecher's Cheese and more!

Raffle tickets are just $5 each and you don't have to be present to win the bike or the table, so even if you can't attend the Festival, you can support Sustainable Ballard by purchasing a raffle ticket!

Enjoy music and food!

On the Festival's music stage: The Red Claw Wranglers, Drunken Maidens (pictured), The Harper Conspiracy, and School of Rock.

Food trucks: Patty Pan tamales & quesadillas, Beez Neez gourmet sausages, Holy Cow modern indian fare and Süsu thai sliced ice cream.

Try Some Urban Farming

Oh my gosh, we have so much fruit from local trees! We will be making cider in our press constantly. Ravenna Ridge Metro Milkers will be showing how to milk a goat and Seattle Farm Co-op will have chickens on hand. And Abundant Greens CSA will host a Tomato Tasting at 2pm. Could we be more farm-y?

Take a peek at an Electric Car

Look under the hood of some of the coolest electric cars around. Members of SEVA (Seattle Electric Vehicles ) are bringing out their personal vehicles to let you have a look and ask questions. Check out a 2017 gen-2 Chevy Volt, a Fiat 500 E and a Mercedes B Class Electric Drive.

Be inspired at the Family Bike Expo

Hosted by Familybike Seattle, the Family Bike Expo is a great opportunity to try things you haven’t seen before, or talk with family biking parents. Have fun and be inspired by riding! Join local families who use their bikes as transportation and try out their family biking setups.
