Watch The Katie Show This Monday!
Hi Jeffrey,

Happy Fall! I hope things have been well and that you are finding time to enjoy the beautiful weather this time of year. The colors are slowly shifting around us which means change is in the air, and I can't think of a better time for you to get inspired and face some of the clutter bunnies that have been nesting around your home.
The past several months have been busier than ever at Jeffrey Phillip. Everything from the work with incredible clients busting their clutter and redesigning their spaces to several special engagements, 2013 is proving to be a year of much anticipated growth, fun experiences, new clutter challenges and exciting opportunities that allow me to continue to share the jp. vision with more and more people.
Some of the best highlights so far are below; however, I'm extra excited to share that I have another special de-clutter segment on the Katie Show this coming Monday, October 28 (find your local station and air time here). During the episode we will do a complete master bathroom de-clutter transformation using Katie's very own bathroom! We'll share some helpful tips and discuss what compels us to keep so much STUFF! So be sure to set your DVRs this weekend, and if you happen to miss it stop by my website, Facebook, or Twitter as I'll be sure to post the links to the show.
As I sit here recapping all of the de-clutter challenges my team and I have tackled this year, it got me thinking... how have YOU tackled YOUR biggest clutter culprit? Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to tackle your #1 clutter collection and share your before and after photos on Twitter and Instagram using the special hash-tag #jpClutterBust for a chance to win a $50 Container Store gift card. Check out my website for some great before and after shots to inspire you and be sure to submit your photos by Friday, November 8th to be included in the random drawing.
So, join me this Monday LIVE on Twitter as I'll be available during and after the show to field all of your bathroom de-cluttering questions! And, don't forget to send in your before and after photos of the clutter projects you're working on...don't be embarrassed, be PROUD of what you will accomplish - I can't wait to see the great work you're doing!
Stay neat,
A De-Clutter Intervention

Katie Couric and Jeffrey PhillipIn the beginning of the year, I had the special honor of being enlisted by the Katie Show to help the host herself face the clutter demons plaguing her home office. The project was a quick fire challenge—allowing only 7 hours to complete a full transformation, but this is the kind of challenge I happily accept.  None of it would have ever been possible without my incredible team.  A lot of great solutions came out of our work together, many of which can be seen on the Katie Show website, as well as some extra tips on my blog. The finished project was an incredible turn-around for Katie. The challenge we left her with was to maintain it and keep it neat!

A De-Clutter Challenge

Jeffrey Phillip on GMA
Shortly after my appearance on Katie, Good Morning America invited me to take part in a Spring De-Clutter Challenge between hosts Lara and Sam, which was incredibly silly and a lot of fun. After designing several de-clutter challenges prior to filming, I helped guide them through the race on LIVE TV to see which host would be the De-Clutter Champion. It was a close race that resulted in both hosts being winners.

Finishing Touches

Upper West Side Case StudyAs the Spring season rolled around, I wrapped up a very special project with a fun family on the UWS of Manhattan. Following an extensive renovation, they decided it was time to call in some help for the finishing touches. This family of four and their friendly dog were not looking for anything fussy, but something that was clean, easy to care for and that reflected their easy going personality. Make sure to check out their amazing before and after photos here.

Making Room at MCNY

MCNY LogoAt the Museum of the City of New York’s recent "Making Room" exhibition, I had the distinct pleasure of speaking about small space living and design. This was a special opportunity to share cool tips for living in the new wave of "micro-apartments" and high efficiency dwellings. The exhibit received lots of attention and the seminars went smashingly well.

Daylight savings ends in nine days and, as always, it’s my mission to get everyone to use this time to tackle those special tasks we like to ignore throughout the rest of the year. This semi-annual occurrence can serve as a great reminder to make sure your home is in tip-top shape for the coming season. Take a look at the short list here, and schedule some time to check these tasks off your list in the next couple weeks.

My segment with Katie is airing this Monday, so for a sneak peek, I thought I'd share two of my favorite products that we used for the show.

Command Shower Caddy
Don't overlook the vertical space in your shower. With products such as Command's Shower Caddy you can add more storage space while freeing up some square footage in the corners, shelves and seat of your shower. The entire line of Command bath products has water-resistant adhesive strips that are super strong, and damage-free. Unlike suction cups, these products hold strongly but remove cleanly so you can reposition them at any time.

StickOnPods (& MagnaPods) help maximize some of the most underused but PRIME real estate in your bathroom—the back of your cabinet doors. It’s the perfect way to clear up the clutter on your medicine cabinet shelves and still keep your most highly used items at your fingertips. They’re great for tooth-brushes, tweezers, your most used lipsticks and other makeup essentials.
